Management of Sickle Cell Disease in Pregnancy

While still considered a relatively rare disease in Australia, prevalence is increasing, as are pregnancies in women with Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Pregnancy in women with SCD is associated with a significantly increased risk of maternal and fetal mortality and morbidity.
