Pillar 1 focuses on Workforce and Career. HSANZ is committed to strengthening the haematology workforce pipeline and supporting clinicians at every career stage. A resilient, well‑supported workforce is essential to delivering high‑quality care and advancing the field. HSANZ is developing an Opportunity Hub here with the following planned initiatives:
|
Pillar 2 focuses on Partnerships and Collaborations, because collaboration is central to innovation in haematology. HSANZ will foster strong relationships across the health ecosystem to amplify impact. Together, we will create a unified voice for haematology and accelerate progress for patients. |
Pillar 3 is Advocacy. HSANZ is a trusted advisor and champion for haematology across Australia and New Zealand. Our advocacy ensures haematology remains visible, valued, and supported at every level of the health system. HSANZ has built trust with the haematology sector and governments, having been established for more than six decades, and is a uniquely multi-disciplinary professional haematology group in Australia and New Zealand. The HSANZ 2030 Strategy provides opportunities for the Society and members to play a bigger role to champion the professional haematology sector. |
Pillar 4 expands on Education.
HSANZ advances excellence in haematology through high‑quality education, training and knowledge exchange. HSANZ’s education strategy centres on digital transformation; broadening access to independent, clinician-led content across the full membership and across all career stages. |

Our members, partners, and the dedicated HSANZ committees and Council are driving this Plan with and for the professional haematology community.
